As our community transitions from emergency response to recovery, the RM of Rockwood aims to connect residents with the information and support they need.
Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA)
The Province of Manitoba's Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) program is available to eligible residents, farms, and businesses affected by the June 2026 flooding. The program provides financial assistance for uninsurable losses, and community engagement sessions are being held to help residents learn about the application process.

Health & Wellness
Recovery can be challenging. Mental health and wellness supports are available through the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority, including 24/7 crisis services, emergency preparedness information, and additional community resources.

Well Water testing
The Manitoba government has increased the private well water testing subsidy to 100% for eligible flood-impacted private well owners. The subsidy applies to one bacteriological test per private well owner for samples submitted to Duracan Laboratory between June 15 and August 31, 2026. Eligibility is limited to flood-impacted wells, and verification is required.
📍 Pick up your testing kit at the Municipal Office (285 Main Street) Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Staff will provide the required forms and instructions. Residents must collect their own water samples and deliver them directly to Duracan Labs located at 862 Dufferin Ave. Winnipeg, MB.
